Only-begotten Son and Logos of God, being immortal, You condescended for our salvation to take flesh from the holy Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary and, without change, became man. Christ, our God, You were crucified and conquered death by death. Being one of the Holy Trinity, glorified with the Father and the Holy Spirit: Save us.

Hermanos: el que siembra con mezquindad, cosechará también con mezquindad; el que siembra en abundancia, cosechará también en abundancia. Que cada cual dé según el dictamen de su corazón, no de mala gana ni forzado, pues: Dios ama al que da con alegría. Y poderoso es Dios para colmarlos de todo bien, a fin de que, teniendo siempre y en todo lo necesario, tengan aún sobrante para hacer buenas obras, como está escrito: Repartió; dio a los pobres; su justicia permanece eternamente. Aquel que provee de simiente al sembrador y de pan para su alimento, proveerá y multiplicará su sementera y aumentará los frutos de su justicia. Dijo el Señor a sus discípulos: «Pongan en sus oídos estas palabras: el Hijo del hombre va a ser entregado en manos de los hombres.» Pero ellos no entendían lo que les decía; les estaba velado su sentido de modo que no lo comprendían y temían preguntarle acerca de este asunto. Se suscitó una discusión entre ellos sobre quién de ellos sería el mayor. Conociendo Jesús lo que pensaban en su corazón, tomó a un niño, le puso a su lado, y les dijo: «El que reciba a este niño en mi nombre, a mí me recibe; y el que me reciba a mí, recibe a Aquel que me ha enviado; pues el más pequeño de entre ustedes, ése es mayor.» Tomando Juan la palabra, dijo: «Maestro, hemos visto a uno que expulsaba demonios en tu nombre y tratamos de impedírselo, porque no viene con nosotros.» Pero Jesús le dijo: «No se lo impidan, pues el que no está contra ustedes está por ustedes.» [BJ-SAOGM]
The Lord said to his disciples, “Let these words sink into your ears; for the Son of man is to be delivered in to the hands of men.” But they did not understand this saying, and it was concealed from them, that they should not perceive it; and they were afraid to ask him about this saying. And an argument arose among them as to which of them was the greatest. But when Jesus perceived the thought of their hearts, he took a child and put him by his side, and said to them, “Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me; for he who is least among you all is the one who is great.” John answered, “Master, we saw a man casting out demons in your name, and we forbade him, because he does not follow with us.” But Jesus said to him, “Do not forbid him; for he that is not against you is for you.” [RSV]

Εἰσῆλθε δὲ διαλογισμὸς ἐν αὐτοῖς, τὸ τίς ἂν εἴη μείζων αὐτῶν. ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς ἰδὼν τὸν διαλογισμὸν τῆς καρδίας αὐτῶν, ἐπιλαβόμενος παιδίου ἔστησεν αὐτὸ παρ᾿ ἑαυτῷ καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· ὃς ἐὰν δέξηται τοῦτο τὸ παιδίον ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματί μου, ἐμὲ δέχεται, καὶ ὃς ἐὰν ἐμὲ δέξηται, δέχεται τὸν ἀποστείλαντά με. ὁ γὰρ μικρότερος ἐν πᾶσιν ὑμῖν ὑπάρχων, οὗτός ἐστι μέγας. Ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ Ἰωάννης εἶπεν· ἐπιστάτα, εἴδομέν τινα ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματί σου ἐκβάλλοντα δαιμόνια, καὶ ἐκωλύσαμεν αὐτόν, ὅτι οὐκ ἀκολουθεῖ μεθ᾿ ἡμῶν. καὶ εἶπε πρὸς αὐτὸν ὁ Ἰησοῦς· μὴ κωλύετε· οὐ γάρ ἐστι καθ᾿ ὑμῶν· ὃς γὰρ οὐκ ἔστι καθ᾿ ὑμῶν, ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν ἐστιν.

Digno es, en verdad, aclamarte a ti, Theotokos, la siempre bienaventurada e inmaculada, y Madre de nuestro Dios. A la más honorable que los querubines y más gloriosa, incomparablemente que los serafines; a ti, la que incorruptamente, diste a luz al Verbo de Dios, a la verdaderamente Theotokos, te exaltamos.
It is truly right to bless you, Theotokos, ever blessed, most pure, and Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, without corruption you gave birth to God the Logos. We magnify you, the true Theotokos.
