Only-begotten Son and Logos of God, being immortal, You condescended for our salvation to take flesh from the holy Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary and, without change, became man. Christ, our God, You were crucified and conquered death by death. Being one of the Holy Trinity, glorified with the Father and the Holy Spirit: Save us.

En aquellos días, Pedro, presentándose con los Once, levantó la voz y les dijo: «Judíos y todos los que viven en Jerusalén: Que quede bien claro lo que les voy a decir; presten atención a mis palabras. Éstos no están borrachos, como ustedes suponen, pues es la hora tercia del día. Más bien está ocurriendo lo que anunció el profeta: ‘Sucederá en los últimos días, dice Dios: Derramaré mi Espíritu sobre todo mortal y profetizarán sus hijos y sus hijas; sus jóvenes verán visiones y sus ancianos soñarán sueños. Y también sobre mis siervos y sobre mis siervas derramaré mi Espíritu. Haré prodigios arriba en el cielo y signos abajo en la tierra. En aquel tiempo, estando una vez orando a solas, en compañía de los discípulos, Jesús les preguntó: «¿Quién dice la gente que soy yo?» Ellos respondieron: «Unos, que Juan el Bautista; otros, que Elías; otros, que uno de los antiguos profetas ha resucitado.» Les preguntó: «Pero ustedes, ¿quién dicen que soy yo?» Pedro le contestó: «El Cristo de Dios.» Entonces les ordenó enérgicamente que no dijeran esto a nadie. Les dijo: «El Hijo del hombre debe sufrir mucho y ser reprobado por los ancianos, los sumos sacerdotes y los escribas; lo matarán y resucitará al tercer día.» [BJ-SAOGM]
At that time, it happened that as he was praying alone the disciples were with him; and he asked them, “Who do the people say that I am?” And they answered, “John the Baptist; but others say, Elijah; and others, that one of the old prophets has risen.” And he said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” And Peter answered, “The Christ of God.” But he charged and commanded them to tell this to no one, saying, “The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised.” [RSV]

Digno es, en verdad, aclamarte a ti, Theotokos, la siempre bienaventurada e inmaculada, y Madre de nuestro Dios. A la más honorable que los querubines y más gloriosa, incomparablemente que los serafines; a ti, la que incorruptamente, diste a luz al Verbo de Dios, a la verdaderamente Theotokos, te exaltamos.
It is truly right to bless you, Theotokos, ever blessed, most pure, and Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, without corruption you gave birth to God the Logos. We magnify you, the true Theotokos.
