Hermanos, no he corrido ni me he fatigado en vano. Y aunque mi sangre se derrame como libación sobre el sacrificio y la ofrenda de su fe, me alegro y congratulo con ustedes. De igual manera, también ustedes alégrense y congratúlense conmigo. Espero que el Señor Jesús me permita poder enviarles pronto a Timoteo, para sentirme también yo animado al tener sus noticias. Pues a nadie tengo que se le iguale en la sincera preocupación por los intereses de ustedes, ya que todos buscan su propio interés, y no el de Cristo Jesús. Pero ustedes conocen su probada virtud, pues, como un hijo junto a su padre, ha sido mi compañero en el servicio del Evangelio. A él, pues, espero enviarles tan pronto como vea clara mi situación. Brethren, I do not run in vain or labor in vain. Even if I am to be poured as a libation upon the sacrificial offering of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all. En aquel tiempo, Jesús recorrió ciudades y pueblos, proclamando y anunciando la Buena Nueva del Reino de Dios. Le acompañaban los Doce y algunas mujeres que habían sido curadas de espíritus malignos y enfermedades: María, llamada Magdalena, de la que habían salido siete demonios, Juana, mujer de Cusa, un administrador de Herodes, Susana y otras muchas que les servían con sus bienes. At that time, Jesus went through cities and villages, preaching and bringing the good news of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with him, and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out, and Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others, who provided for him out of their means. It is truly right to bless you, Theotokos, ever blessed, most pure, and Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, without corruption you gave birth to God the Logos. We magnify you, the true Theotokos.
