Only-begotten Son and Logos of God, being immortal, You condescended for our salvation to take flesh from the holy Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary and, without change, became man. Christ, our God, You were crucified and conquered death by death. Being one of the Holy Trinity, glorified with the Father and the Holy Spirit: Save us.

Pablo y Timoteo, siervos de Cristo Jesús, a todos los santos en Cristo Jesús, que están en Filipos, con los epíscopos y diáconos. Gracia a ustedes y paz de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesús Cristo. Doy gracias a mi Dios cada vez que me acuerdo de ustedes, rogando siempre y en todas mis oraciones con alegría por todos ustedes a causa de la colaboración que han prestado al Evangelio, desde el primer día hasta hoy; firmemente convencido de que, quien inició en ustedes la buena obra, la irá consumando hasta el Día de Cristo Jesús. Dijo el Señor a los judíos que vinieron a Él: «¡Ay de ustedes, los ricos, porque han recibido su consuelo! ¡Ay de ustedes, los que ahora están llenos, porque tendrán hambre! ¡Ay de los que ríen ahora, porque tendrán tristeza y llanto! ¡Ay cuando todos los hombres hablen bien de ustedes, pues de ese modo trataban sus padres a los falsos profetas! Pero a ustedes, los que me escuchan, yo les digo: Amen a sus enemigos, hagan bien a los que los odien, bendigan a los que los maldigan, rueguen por los que los difamen. Al que te hiera en una mejilla, preséntale también la otra; y al que te quite el manto, no le niegues la túnica. A todo el que te pida, dale, y al que tome lo tuyo, no se lo reclames.» [BJ-SAOGM]
The Lord said to the Jews who had come to him, “Woe to you that are rich, for you have received your consolation. Woe to you that are full now, for you shall hunger. Woe to you that laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep. Woe to you, when all men speak well of you, for so their fathers did to the false prophets. But I say to you that hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. To him who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also; and from him who takes away your coat do not withhold even your shirt. Give to every one who begs from you; and of him who takes away your goods do not ask them again.” [RSV]

Digno es, en verdad, aclamarte a ti, Theotokos, la siempre bienaventurada e inmaculada, y Madre de nuestro Dios. A la más honorable que los querubines y más gloriosa, incomparablemente que los serafines; a ti, la que incorruptamente, diste a luz al Verbo de Dios, a la verdaderamente Theotokos, te exaltamos.
It is truly right to bless you, Theotokos, ever blessed, most pure, and Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, without corruption you gave birth to God the Logos. We magnify you, the true Theotokos.
