Only-begotten Son and Logos of God, being immortal, You condescended for our salvation to take flesh from the holy Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary and, without change, became man. Hermanos: el que siembra con mezquindad, cosechará también con mezquindad; el que siembra en abundancia, cosechará también en abundancia. Que cada cual dé según el dictamen de su corazón, no de mala gana ni forzado, pues: Dios ama al que da con alegría. Y poderoso es Dios para colmarlos de todo bien, a fin de que, teniendo siempre y en todo lo necesario, tengan aún sobrante para hacer buenas obras, como está escrito: Repartió; dio a los pobres; su justicia permanece eternamente. Aquel que provee de simiente al sembrador y de pan para su alimento, proveerá y multiplicará su sementera y aumentará los frutos de su justicia. Así serán ricos para dar siempre con generosidad, y eso provocará, gracias a nosotros, acciones de gracias a Dios. [BJ-SAOGM]
Brethren, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must do as he has made up his mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that you may always have enough of everything and may provide in abundance for every good work. As it is written, “He scatters abroad, he gives to the poor; his righteousness endures for ever.” He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your resources and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way for great generosity, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. [RSV]

Dijo el Señor: «Traten a los hombres como quieren que ellos los traten. Si aman a los que los aman, ¿qué mérito tienen? También los pecadores aman a los que les aman. Si hacen bien a los que les hacen el bien, ¿qué mérito tienen? ¡También los pecadores hacen otro tanto! Si prestan a aquellos de quienes esperan recibir, ¿qué mérito tienen? También los pecadores prestan a los pecadores para recibir lo correspondiente. Más bien, amen a sus enemigos; hagan el bien y presten sin esperar nada a cambio; entonces su recompensa será grande y serán hijos del Altísimo, porque él es bueno con los desagradecidos y los perversos. Sean compasivos como su Padre es compasivo.» [BJ-SAOGM]
The Lord said, “And as you wish that men would do to you, do so to them. If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive as much again. But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, despairing of no man; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for he is kind to the ungrateful and the selfish. Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.” [RSV]

Digno es, en verdad, aclamarte a ti, Theotokos, la siempre bienaventurada e inmaculada, y Madre de nuestro Dios. A la más honorable que los querubines y más gloriosa, incomparablemente que los serafines; a ti, la que incorruptamente, diste a luz al Verbo de Dios, a la verdaderamente Theotokos, te exaltamos.
It is truly right to bless you, Theotokos, ever blessed, most pure, and Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, without corruption you gave birth to God the Logos. We magnify you, the true Theotokos.

We have seen the true light; we have received the heavenly Spirit; we have found the true faith, worshiping the undivided Trinity, for the Trinity has saved us.
