Only-begotten Son and Logos of God, being immortal, You condescended for our salvation to take flesh from the holy Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary and, without change, became man. En aquel tiempo, estando Jesús en una ciudad, se presentó un hombre cubierto de lepra que, al ver a Jesús, se echó rostro en tierra y le rogó diciendo: «Señor, si quieres, puedes limpiarme.» Él extendió la mano, le tocó y dijo: «Quiero, queda limpio.» Y al instante le desapareció la lepra. Digno es, en verdad, aclamarte a ti, Theotokos, la siempre bienaventurada e inmaculada, y Madre de nuestro Dios. A la más honorable que los querubines y más gloriosa, incomparablemente que los serafines; a ti, la que incorruptamente, diste a luz al Verbo de Dios, a la verdaderamente Theotokos, te exaltamos.
It is truly right to bless you, Theotokos, ever blessed, most pure, and Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, without corruption you gave birth to God the Logos. We magnify you, the true Theotokos.
