Only-begotten Son and Logos of God, being immortal, You condescended for our salvation to take flesh from the holy Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary and, without change, became man. Hermanos, entre los perfectos hablamos de sabiduría, pero no de la sabiduría de este mundo ni de los jefes de este mundo, abocados a la ruina, sino de una sabiduría de Dios, misteriosa, escondida, destinada por Dios desde antes de los siglos para gloria nuestra, desconocida de todos los jefes de este mundo —pues, de haberla conocido, no habrían crucificado al Señor de la Gloria—. Más bien, como dice la Escritura: ‘lo que ni el ojo vio, ni el oído oyó, ni al corazón del hombre llegó; lo que Dios preparó para los que lo aman’. [BJ-SAOGM]
Brethren, among the mature we impart wisdom, although it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away. But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glorification. None of the rulers of this age understood this; for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him.” [RSV]

Dijo el Señor: «El que ama a su padre o a su madre más que a mí, no es digno de mí; el que ama a su hijo o a su hija más que a mí, no es digno de mí. El que no tome su cruz y me siga, no es digno de mí. El que encuentre su vida, la perderá; y el que pierda su vida por mí, la encontrará. Quien a ustedes acoge, a mí me acoge, y quien me acoge a mí, acoge a Aquel que me ha enviado. Quien acoja a un profeta por ser profeta, recibirá recompensa de profeta, y quien acoja a un justo por ser justo, recibirá recompensa de justo. We have seen the true light; we have received the heavenly Spirit; we have found the true faith, worshiping the undivided Trinity, for the Trinity has saved us.
