Hermanos, les hemos hablado con toda franqueza; nuestro corazón está abierto de par en par. Pero, aunque nuestro corazón no está cerrado para ustedes, los suyos sí que lo están. Correspóndannos y ábranse también ustedes. Les hablo como a hijos. ¡No se junten en yugo desigual con los infieles! No sería posible el equilibrio. Pues ¿qué relación hay entre la justicia y la iniquidad? ¿Qué unión entre la luz y la tiniebla? ¿Qué armonía entre Cristo y Beliar? ¿Qué comunicación entre el fiel y el infiel? ¿Qué conformidad entre el templo de Dios y el de los ídolos? En aquel tiempo, había precisamente en su sinagoga un hombre poseído por un espíritu inmundo, que se puso a gritar: «¿Qué tenemos nosotros contigo, Jesús de Nazaret? ¿Has venido a destruirnos? Sé quién eres tú: el Santo de Dios.» Jesús, entonces, le ordenó diciendo: «Cállate y sal de él.» Y agitándole violentamente el espíritu inmundo, dio un fuerte grito y salió de él. Todos quedaron asombrados de tal manera que se preguntaban unos a otros: «¿Qué es esto? ¡Una doctrina nueva, expuesta con autoridad! Manda hasta a los espíritus inmundos y le obedecen.» Bien pronto su fama se extendió por todas partes, en toda la región de Galilea. [BJ-SAOGM]
At that time, there was in the synagogue of the Jews a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? Digno es, en verdad, aclamarte a ti, Theotokos, la siempre bienaventurada e inmaculada, y Madre de nuestro Dios. A la más honorable que los querubines y más gloriosa, incomparablemente que los serafines; a ti, la que incorruptamente, diste a luz al Verbo de Dios, a la verdaderamente Theotokos, te exaltamos.
It is truly right to bless you, Theotokos, ever blessed, most pure, and Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, without corruption you gave birth to God the Logos. We magnify you, the true Theotokos.
