Only-begotten Son and Logos of God, being immortal, You condescended for our salvation to take flesh from the holy Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary and, without change, became man. Christ, our God, You were crucified and conquered death by death. Being one of the Holy Trinity, glorified with the Father and the Holy Spirit: Save us.

Hermanos, les hemos hablado con toda franqueza; nuestro corazón está abierto de par en par. Pero, aunque nuestro corazón no está cerrado para ustedes, los suyos sí que lo están. Correspóndannos y ábranse también ustedes. Les hablo como a hijos. ¡No se junten en yugo desigual con los infieles! No sería posible el equilibrio. Pues ¿qué relación hay entre la justicia y la iniquidad? ¿Qué unión entre la luz y la tiniebla? ¿Qué armonía entre Cristo y Beliar? ¿Qué comunicación entre el fiel y el infiel? ¿Qué conformidad entre el templo de Dios y el de los ídolos? En aquel tiempo, había precisamente en su sinagoga un hombre poseído por un espíritu inmundo, que se puso a gritar: «¿Qué tenemos nosotros contigo, Jesús de Nazaret? ¿Has venido a destruirnos? Sé quién eres tú: el Santo de Dios.» Jesús, entonces, le ordenó diciendo: «Cállate y sal de él.» Y agitándole violentamente el espíritu inmundo, dio un fuerte grito y salió de él. Todos quedaron asombrados de tal manera que se preguntaban unos a otros: «¿Qué es esto? ¡Una doctrina nueva, expuesta con autoridad! Manda hasta a los espíritus inmundos y le obedecen.» Bien pronto su fama se extendió por todas partes, en toda la región de Galilea. [BJ-SAOGM]
At that time, there was in the synagogue of the Jews a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are, the Holy One of God.” But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent, and come out of him!” And the unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him. And they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? A new teaching! With authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him.” And at once his fame spread everywhere throughout all the surrounding region of Galilee. [RSV]

A la más honorable que los querubines y más gloriosa, incomparablemente que los serafines; a ti, la que incorruptamente, diste a luz al Verbo de Dios, a la verdaderamente Theotokos, te exaltamos.
It is truly right to bless you, Theotokos, ever blessed, most pure, and Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, without corruption you gave birth to God the Logos. We magnify you, the true Theotokos.
