Only-begotten Son and Logos of God, being immortal, You condescended for our salvation to take flesh from the holy Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary and, without change, became man. Hermanos, les exhorto, por la misericordia de Dios, a que se ofrezcan a ustedes mismos como un sacrificio vivo, santo y agradable a Dios. Tal debería ser su culto espiritual. Y no se acomoden a la forma de pensar del mundo presente; antes bien, transfórmense mediante la renovación de su mente, de forma que puedan distinguir cuál es la voluntad de Dios: lo bueno, lo agradable, lo perfecto. En virtud de la misión que me ha sido confiada, debo decirles que no se valoren más de lo que conviene; tengan más bien una sobria autoestima según la medida de la fe que Dios ha otorgado a cada cual. Brethren, I appeal to you, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. A la más honorable que los querubines y más gloriosa, incomparablemente que los serafines; a ti, la que incorruptamente, diste a luz al Verbo de Dios, a la verdaderamente Theotokos, te exaltamos.
