La fuente del Espíritu ha descendido dividido en manantiales de fuego hasta la tierra; roció espiritualmente a los Apóstoles iluminándolos, y se volvió para ellos una nube que destila fuego, llama viva de luz y de frescor. A través de ellos ellos recibimos la gracia nos fue dada por el fuego y por el agua: La luz del Paráclito se hace presente e ilumina el universo. [AM]

When the well-spring of the grace of the divine Spirit came * down to those upon the earth and into fire-bearing streams * parted noetically, it refreshed the Apostles * and led them to the light. The fire became for them * a dewy cloud and rainy flame illumining them. * And we in turn through them received divine grace * by means of fire and water. * The holy light of the Holy Spirit * has appeared and illumined the world. Al atardecer de aquel día, el primero de la semana, estando cerradas, por miedo a los judíos, las puertas del lugar donde se encontraban los discípulos, se presentó Jesús en medio de ellos y les dijo: «La paz con ustedes.» Dicho esto, les mostró las manos y el costado. Los discípulos se alegraron de ver al Señor. Jesús les dijo otra vez: «La paz con ustedes. Como el Padre me envió, también yo los envío.» Dicho esto, sopló y les dijo: «Reciban el Espíritu Santo. A quienes perdonen los pecados, les quedan perdonados; a quienes se los retengan, les quedan retenidos.» [BJ-SAOGM]

On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being shut where the disciples were gathered, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. Εὐλογητὸς εἶ, Χριστὲ ὁ Θεὸς ἡμῶν, ὁ πανσόφους τοὺς ἁλιεῖς ἀναδείξας, καταπέμψας αὐτοῖς τὸ Πνεῦμα τὸ ἅγιον, καὶ διʼ αὐτῶν τὴν οἰκουμένην σαγηνεύσας, Φιλάνθρωπε, δόξα σοι.
