Hermanos, los frutos del Espíritu son amor, alegría, paz, paciencia, afabilidad, bondad, fidelidad, modestia, dominio de sí. No hay ley que condene tales cosas. Además, los que son de Cristo Jesús han crucificado la carne con sus pasiones y sus apetencias. Si vivimos por el Espíritu, sigamos también al Espíritu. No seamos vanidosos, provocándonos los unos a los otros y envidiándonos mutuamente. Hermanos, si alguno es sorprendido en alguna falta, ustedes, los espirituales, corríjanle con espíritu de mansedumbre. ¡Pero cuidado, que también tú puedes ser tentado! Había allí un gran número de discípulos suyos y una gran muchedumbre llegada de toda Judea, de Jerusalén y de la región costera de Tiro y Sidón, que habían venido para oírle y ser curados de sus dolencias. Y los que eran molestados por espíritus inmundos quedaban curados. Toda la gente procuraba tocarle, porque salía de él una fuerza que sanaba a todos. Él, dirigiendo la mirada a sus discípulos, dijo: «Bienaventurados los pobres, porque suyo es el Reino de Dios. Bienaventurados los que tienen hambre ahora, porque serán saciados. Bienaventurados los que lloran ahora, porque reirán. Bienaventurados serán cuando los hombres los odien, cuando los expulsen, los injurien y proscriban su nombre como malo por causa del Hijo del hombre. It is truly right to bless you, Theotokos, ever blessed, most pure, and Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, without corruption you gave birth to God the Logos. We magnify you, the true Theotokos.
