Timoteo, hijo mío, a los ricos de este mundo recomiéndales que no sean altaneros ni pongan su esperanza en lo inseguro de las riquezas, sino en Dios, que nos provee espléndidamente de todo para que lo disfrutemos; que practiquen el bien, que se enriquezcan con bellas obras, que den con generosidad y con liberalidad; de esta forma irán atesorando para el futuro un excelente fondo con el que podrán adquirir la vida verdadera. Timoteo, guarda el depósito. Evita las palabrerías profanas, y también las objeciones de la falsa ciencia; algunos que la profesaban se han apartado de la fe. La gracia con ustedes. Amén. [BJ-SAOGM]
Timothy, my son, charge the rich in this world not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on uncertain riches but on the living God who richly furnishes us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good deeds, liberal and generous, thus laying up for themselves a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of eternal life. O Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you. Avoid the godless chatter and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge, for by professing it some have missed the mark as regards the faith. Grace be with you. Amen. [RSV]
Τέκνον Τιμόθεε, τοῖς πλουσίοις ἐν τῷ νῦν αἰῶνι παράγγελλε μὴ ὑψηλοφρονεῖν, μηδὲ ἠλπικέναι ἐπὶ πλούτου ἀδηλότητι, ἀλλ᾽ ἐν τῷ Θεῷ τῷ ζῶντι, τῷ παρέχοντι ἡμῖν πάντα πλουσίως εἰς ἀπόλαυσιν, ἀγαθοεργεῖν, πλουτεῖν ἐν ἔργοις καλοῖς, εὐμεταδότους εἶναι, κοινωνικούς, ἀποθησαυρίζοντας ἑαυτοῖς θεμέλιον καλὸν εἰς τὸ μέλλον, ἵνα ἐπιλάβωνται τῆς αἰωνίου ζωῆς. Ὦ Τιμόθεε, τὴν παρακαταθήκην φύλαξον, ἐκτρεπόμενος τὰς βεβήλους κενοφωνίας καὶ ἀντιθέσεις τῆς ψευδωνύμου γνώσεως, ἥν τινες ἐπαγγελλόμενοι περὶ τὴν πίστιν ἠστόχησαν. Ἡ χάρις μετὰ σοῦ· ἀμήν.

Dijo el Señor a sus discípulos: «Cuando empiecen a suceder estas cosas, cobren ánimo y levanten la cabeza, porque se acerca su liberación.» Les añadió una parábola: «Miren la higuera y todos los demás árboles. Cuando ven que retoñan, saben que el verano está ya cerca. Así también ustedes, cuando vean que sucede esto, sepan que el Reino de Dios está cerca. Les aseguro que no pasará esta generación hasta que todo esto suceda. El cielo y la tierra pasarán, pero mis palabras no pasarán.» [BJ-SAOGM]
The Lord said to his disciples, “Look up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” And he told them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees; as soon as they come out in leaf, you see for yourselves and know that the summer is already near. So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that the kingdom of God is near. Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away till all has taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.” [RSV]
Εἶπεν ὁ Κύριος τοῖς ἑαυτοῦ μαθηταῖς· ἀνακύψατε καὶ ἐπάρατε τὰς κεφαλὰς ὑμῶν, διότι ἐγγίζει ἡ ἀπολύτρωσις ὑμῶν. Καὶ εἶπε παραβολὴν αὐτοῖς· ἴδετε τὴν συκῆν καὶ πάντα τὰ δένδρα. ὅταν προβάλωσιν ἤδη, βλέποντες ἀφ᾿ ἑαυτῶν γινώσκετε ὅτι ἤδη ἐγγὺς τὸ θέρος ἐστίν. οὕτω καὶ ὑμεῖς, ὅταν ἴδητε ταῦτα γινόμενα, γινώσκετε ὅτι ἐγγύς ἐστιν ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ Θεοῦ. ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι οὐ μὴ παρέλθῃ ἡ γενεὰ αὕτη ἕως ἂν πάντα γένηται. ὁ οὐρανὸς καὶ ἡ γῆ παρελεύσονται, οἱ δὲ λόγοι μου οὐ μὴ παρέλθωσι.

Por sus santas intercesiones, oh Dios, ten misericordia de nosotros y sálvanos. Amén.
