Only-begotten Son and Logos of God, being immortal, You condescended for our salvation to take flesh from the holy Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary and, without change, became man. Christ, our God, You were crucified and conquered death by death. Being one of the Holy Trinity, glorified with the Father and the Holy Spirit: Save us.

La memoria del justo es digna de la alabanza, pero te es suficiente el testimonio del Señor, oh Precursor. Porque, en verdad, te manifestaste más honorable que los profetas, pues has sido merecedor de bautizar en las corrientes del Jordán a Aquél que había sido anunciado. Por tanto, después de haber luchado gozosamente por la Verdad, anunciaste a aquellos que moraban en el Hades, a Dios que se manifiesta en la carne y borra el pecado del mundo, concediéndonos la gran misericordia. The memory of the just is observed with hymns of praise; for you suffices the testimony of the Lord, O Forerunner. You have proved to be truly more ven’rable than the Prophets, since you were granted to baptize in the river the One whom they proclaimed. Therefore, when for the truth you had contested, rejoicing, to those in Hades you preached the Gospel, that God was manifested in the flesh, and takes away the sin of the world, and grants to us the great mercy. Timoteo, hijo mío, ya sabemos que la Ley es buena, con tal que se la tome como ley, teniendo bien presente que la ley no ha sido instituida para el justo, sino para los prevaricadores y rebeldes, para los impíos y pecadores, para los irreligiosos y profanadores, para los parricidas y matricidas, para los asesinos, adúlteros, homosexuales, traficantes de esclavos, mentirosos, perjuros y para todo lo que se opone a la sana doctrina, según el Evangelio de la gloria de Dios bienaventurado, que se me ha confiado. Doy gracias a aquel que me revistió de fortaleza, a Cristo Jesús, Señor nuestro, que me consideró digno de confianza al colocarme en el ministerio, a mí que antes fui un blasfemo, un perseguidor y un insolente. Pero encontré misericordia porque obré por ignorancia cuando no era creyente. Pero la gracia de nuestro Señor sobreabundó en mí, juntamente con la fe y la caridad en Cristo Jesús. [BJ-SAOGM]
Timothy, my son, we know that the law is good, if any one uses it lawfully, understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, immoral persons, sodomites, kidnappers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine, in accordance with the glorious gospel of the blessed God with which I have been entrusted. I thank him who has given me strength for this, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful by appointing me to his service, though I formerly blasphemed and persecuted and insulted him; but I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, and the grace of our Lord overflowed with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. En aquel tiempo, entró Jesús en el Templo y comenzó a echar fuera a los vendedores, diciéndoles: «Está escrito: Mi Casa será Casa de oración. ¡Pero ustedes la han hecho una cueva de bandidos!» Enseñaba todos los días en el Templo. Por su parte, los sumos sacerdotes, los escribas y también los notables del pueblo buscaban la forma de matarle, pero no veían cómo hacerlo, porque toda la gente le escuchaba, pendiente de sus labios. [BJ-SAOGM]
At that time, Jesus entered the temple and began to drive out those who were selling and buying there, saying to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be a house of prayer’; but you have made it a den of robbers.” And he was teaching daily in the temple. The chief priests and the scribes and the principal men of the people sought to destroy him; but they did not find anything they could do, for all the people hung upon his words. [RSV]

Digno es, en verdad, aclamarte a ti, Theotokos, la siempre bienaventurada e inmaculada, y Madre de nuestro Dios. A la más honorable que los querubines y más gloriosa, incomparablemente que los serafines; a ti, la que incorruptamente, diste a luz al Verbo de Dios, a la verdaderamente Theotokos, te exaltamos.
It is truly right to bless you, Theotokos, ever blessed, most pure, and Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, without corruption you gave birth to God the Logos. We magnify you, the true Theotokos.

We have seen the true light; we have received the heavenly Spirit; we have found the true faith, worshiping the undivided Trinity, for the Trinity has saved us.
