Por tanto, hermanos míos queridos y añorados, mi gozo y mi corona, manténganse así firmes en el Señor, queridos. Ruego a Evodia, lo mismo que a Síntique, que tengan un mismo sentir en el Señor. También te ruego a ti, Sícigo, «compañero» mío, que las ayudes, ya que lucharon por el Evangelio a mi lado, lo mismo que Clemente y demás colaboradores míos, cuyos nombres están inscritos en el libro de la vida. En aquel tiempo, habiéndole preguntado los fariseos cuándo llegaría el Reino de Dios, Jesús les respondió: «La venida del Reino de Dios no se producirá aparatosamente, ni se dirá: ‘Véanlo aquí o allá’, porque, miren, el Reino de Dios ya está entre ustedes.» Dijo a sus discípulos: «Días vendrán en que desearán ver uno solo de los días del Hijo del hombre, y no lo verán. Habrá quien les diga: ‘Véanlo aquí, véanlo allá.’ Pero no vayan, ni corren detrás. Porque, como relámpago fulgurante que brilla de un extremo a otro del cielo, así será el Hijo del hombre en su Día. Pero antes tendrá que padecer mucho y ser reprobado por esta generación.» [BJ-SAOGM]
At that time, when Jesus was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God was coming, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed; nor will they say, ‘Lo, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.” And he said to the disciples, “The days are coming when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and you will not see it. It is truly right to bless you, Theotokos, ever blessed, most pure, and Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, without corruption you gave birth to God the Logos. We magnify you, the true Theotokos.
