Only-begotten Son and Logos of God, being immortal, You condescended for our salvation to take flesh from the holy Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary and, without change, became man. Hermanos, les hemos hablado con toda franqueza; nuestro corazón está abierto de par en par. Pero, aunque nuestro corazón no está cerrado para ustedes, los suyos sí que lo están. Correspóndannos y ábranse también ustedes. Les hablo como a hijos. ¡No se junten en yugo desigual con los infieles! No sería posible el equilibrio. Pues ¿qué relación hay entre la justicia y la iniquidad? ¿Qué unión entre la luz y la tiniebla? ¿Qué armonía entre Cristo y Beliar? ¿Qué comunicación entre el fiel y el infiel? ¿Qué conformidad entre el templo de Dios y el de los ídolos? En aquel tiempo, había precisamente en su sinagoga un hombre poseído por un espíritu inmundo, que se puso a gritar: «¿Qué tenemos nosotros contigo, Jesús de Nazaret? ¿Has venido a destruirnos? Sé quién eres tú: el Santo de Dios.» Jesús, entonces, le ordenó diciendo: «Cállate y sal de él.» Y agitándole violentamente el espíritu inmundo, dio un fuerte grito y salió de él. Todos quedaron asombrados de tal manera que se preguntaban unos a otros: «¿Qué es esto? ¡Una doctrina nueva, expuesta con autoridad! Manda hasta a los espíritus inmundos y le obedecen.» Bien pronto su fama se extendió por todas partes, en toda la región de Galilea. [BJ-SAOGM]
At that time, there was in the synagogue of the Jews a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are, the Holy One of God.” But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent, and come out of him!” And the unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him.
