Only-begotten Son and Logos of God, being immortal, You condescended for our salvation to take flesh from the holy Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary and, without change, became man. Pablo, apóstol de Jesús Cristo por voluntad de Dios, y Timoteo, el hermano, a la Iglesia de Dios que está en Corinto, con todos los santos que están en toda Acaya; a ustedes gracia y paz de parte de Dios, Padre nuestro, y del Señor Jesús Cristo. ¡Bendito sea el Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesús Cristo, Padre misericordioso y Dios de toda consolación, que nos consuela en toda tribulación nuestra para poder nosotros consolar a los que están en toda tribulación, mediante el consuelo con que nosotros somos consolados por Dios! Pues, así como abundan en nosotros los sufrimientos de Cristo, igualmente abunda también por Cristo nuestra consolación. Dijo el Señor a los judíos que vinieron a Él: «Les digo: Se les quitará el Reino de Dios para dárselo a un pueblo que rinda sus frutos. Y el que caiga sobre esta piedra se destrozará, y a aquel sobre quien caiga, le aplastará.» Los sumos sacerdotes y los fariseos, al oír sus parábolas, comprendieron que estaba refiriéndose a ellos. Y trataban de detenerlo, pero tuvieron miedo a la gente porque le tenían por profeta. [BJ-SAOGM]

The Lord said to the Jews who had come to him: “I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation producing the fruits of it. And he who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; but when it falls on any one, it will crush him.” When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they perceived that he was speaking about them. But when they tried to arrest him, they feared the multitudes, because they held him to be a prophet. [RSV]

Digno es, en verdad, aclamarte a ti, Theotokos, la siempre bienaventurada e inmaculada, y Madre de nuestro Dios. A la más honorable que los querubines y más gloriosa, incomparablemente que los serafines; a ti, la que incorruptamente, diste a luz al Verbo de Dios, a la verdaderamente Theotokos, te exaltamos.

It is truly right to bless you, Theotokos, ever blessed, most pure, and Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, without corruption you gave birth to God the Logos. We magnify you, the true Theotokos.
