Only-begotten Son and Logos of God, being immortal, You condescended for our salvation to take flesh from the holy Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary and, without change, became man. Christ, our God, You were crucified and conquered death by death. Being one of the Holy Trinity, glorified with the Father and the Holy Spirit: Save us.

Por aquellos días, los apóstoles se volvieron a Jerusalén desde el monte llamado de los Olivos, que dista de Jerusalén el equivalente a un paseo permitido en sábado. Cuando llegaron, subieron a la estancia superior, donde vivían. Eran Pedro y Juan, Santiago y Andrés, Felipe y Tomás, Bartolomé y Mateo, Santiago el de Alfeo, Simón el Zelota y Judas de Santiago. Todos ellos perseveraban en la oración, con un mismo espíritu, en compañía de algunas mujeres, de María la madre de Jesús y de sus hermanos. Uno de aquellos días Pedro, puesto en pie ante los hermanos —ya que el número de personas congregadas con el mismo propósito era de unas ciento veinte—, les dijo: «Hermanos, era preciso que se cumpliera la Escritura, en la que el Espíritu Santo, por boca de David, había hablado ya acerca de Judas, que fue guía de los que prendieron a Jesús. Él era uno de los nuestros y había obtenido un puesto en este ministerio. In those days, the apostles returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a sabbath day’s journey away; and when they had entered, they went up to the upper room, where they were staying, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot and Judas the son of James. All these with one accord devoted themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers. In those days Peter stood up among the brethren (the company of persons was in all about a hundred and twenty), and said, “Brethren, the scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke beforehand by the mouth of David, concerning Judas who was guide to those who arrested Jesus. For he was numbered among us, and was allotted his share in this ministry. En aquel tiempo, Jesús llamó a sus discípulos y les dijo: «Siento compasión de la gente, porque hace ya tres días que están aquí conmigo y no tienen qué comer. Y no quiero despedirlos en ayunas, no sea que desfallezcan en el camino.» Le dijeron los discípulos: «¿Cómo hacernos en un lugar inhóspito con pan suficiente para saciar a una multitud tan grande?» Les preguntó Jesús: «¿Cuántos panes tienen?» Ellos le respondieron: «Siete, y unos pocos pececillos.» Entonces mandó a la gente recostarse en el suelo. Tomó luego los siete panes y los peces y, dando gracias, los partió y se los fue dando a los discípulos, y los discípulos a la gente. Comieron todos y se saciaron. Y recogieron de los trozos sobrantes siete espuertas llenas. Los que habían comido eran cuatro mil hombres, sin contar mujeres y niños. At that time, Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I have compassion on the crowd, because they have been with me now three days, and have nothing to eat; and I am unwilling to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way.” And the disciples said to him, “Where are we to get bread enough in the desert to feed so great a crowd?” And Jesus said to them, “How many loaves have you?” They said, “Seven, and a few small fish.” And commanding the crowd to sit down on the ground, he took the seven loaves and the fish, and having given thanks he broke them and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds. And they all ate and were satisfied; and they took up seven baskets full of the broken pieces left over. Those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children. And sending away the crowds, he got into the boat and went to the region of Magdala. [RSV]

Digno es, en verdad, aclamarte a ti, Theotokos, la siempre bienaventurada e inmaculada, y Madre de nuestro Dios. A la más honorable que los querubines y más gloriosa, incomparablemente que los serafines; a ti, la que incorruptamente, diste a luz al Verbo de Dios, a la verdaderamente Theotokos, te exaltamos.
It is truly right to bless you, Theotokos, ever blessed, most pure, and Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, without corruption you gave birth to God the Logos. We magnify you, the true Theotokos.

El que se transfiguró con gloria en el monte Tabor ante sus santos discípulos y apóstoles, Cristo, verdadero Dios nuestro, por las intercesiones de su purísima e inmaculada Madre, por el poder de la vivificante y preciosa Cruz, la protección de las celestiales potestades incorpóreas, las súplicas del venerable y glorioso profeta, precursor y bautista Juan, de los santos, gloriosos y alabadísimos apóstoles, de los santos, gloriosos y victoriosos mártires, de nuestros justos y teóforos padres, (santo patrono del templo local); de los santos y justos familiares del Señor, Joaquín y Ana, y de todos los santos, tenga misericordia de nosotros y sálvanos, pues eres un Dios bondadoso y filántropo.
