Hermanos, dice la Escritura: ‘lo que ni el ojo vio, ni el oído oyó, ni al corazón del hombre llegó; lo que Dios preparó para los que lo aman’. Dios nos reveló todo esto por medio del Espíritu; y el Espíritu todo lo sondea, hasta las profundidades de Dios. En efecto, ¿qué persona conoce lo íntimo de la persona, sino el espíritu de la persona, que está en ella? Del mismo modo, nadie conoce lo íntimo de Dios, sino el Espíritu de Dios. Y nosotros no hemos recibido el espíritu del mundo, sino el Espíritu que viene de Dios, para conocer los dones que Dios gratuitamente nos ha concedido. De estos dones también hablamos, pero no con palabras propias de la sabiduría humana, sino enseñadas por el Espíritu, expresando realidades espirituales en términos espirituales. El ser humano naturalmente no acepta las cosas del Espíritu de Dios, pues las considera una locura. Y no las puede entender, pues sólo espiritualmente pueden ser juzgadas. En cambio, la persona de espíritu lo juzga todo; y a ella nadie puede juzgarla. Porque ¿quién conoció la mente del Señor para instruirle? Pero nosotros tenemos la mente de Cristo. Yo, hermanos, no pude hablarles como a personas espirituales, sino como a carnales, como a niños en la fe de Cristo. Les di a beber leche, y no alimento sólido, pues todavía no lo podían soportar. Y ni siquiera ahora lo soportan, pues siguen siendo carnales. Porque, mientras haya entre ustedes envidia y discordia, ¿no creen que siguen siendo carnales y viven a lo humano? Cuando dice uno: «Yo soy de Pablo», y otro: «Yo soy de Apolo», ¿no están procediendo según criterios humanos? ¿Quién es, pues, Apolo? ¿Y quién es Pablo? ¡Servidores, por medio de los cuales han creído! Cada uno trabajó según el designio del Señor: yo planté y Apolo regó, mas fue Dios quien proporcionó el crecimiento. De modo que el que planta y el que riega nada son, sino Dios, que proporciona el crecimiento. Además el que planta y el que riega son una misma cosa, si bien cada cual recibirá el salario según su propio trabajo. [BJ-SAOGM]
Brethren, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him,” God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For what person knows a man’s thoughts except the spirit of the man which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might understand the gifts bestowed on us by God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Holy Spirit, interpreting spiritual things to those who are spiritual. The unspiritual man does not receive the gifts of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual man judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. “For who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ. But I, brethren, could not address you as spiritual men, but as men of the flesh, as babes in Christ. I fed you with milk, not solid food; for you were not ready for it; and even yet you are not ready, for you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh, and behaving like ordinary men? For when one says, “I belong to Paul,” and another, “I belong to Apollos,” are you not merely men? What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each. I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. He who plants and he who waters are equal, and each shall receive his wages according to his labor. [RSV]
Ἀδελφοί, ἃ ὀφθαλμὸς οὐκ εἶδε καὶ οὖς οὐκ ἤκουσε καὶ ἐπὶ καρδίαν ἀνθρώπου οὐκ ἀνέβη, ἃ ἡτοίμασεν ὁ Θεὸς τοῖς ἀγαπῶσιν αὐτόν. ἡμῖν δὲ ὁ Θεὸς ἀπεκάλυψε διὰ τοῦ Πνεύματος αὐτοῦ· τὸ γὰρ Πνεῦμα πάντα ἐρευνᾷ, καὶ τὰ βάθη τοῦ Θεοῦ. τίς γὰρ οἶδεν ἀνθρώπων τὰ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου εἰ μὴ τὸ πνεῦμα τοῦ ἀνθρώπου τὸ ἐν αὐτῷ; οὕτω καὶ τὰ τοῦ Θεοῦ οὐδεὶς οἶδεν εἰ μὴ τὸ Πνεῦμα τοῦ Θεοῦ. ἡμεῖς δὲ οὐ τὸ πνεῦμα τοῦ κόσμου ἐλάβομεν, ἀλλὰ τὸ Πνεῦμα τὸ ἐκ τοῦ Θεοῦ, ἵνα εἰδῶμεν τὰ ὑπὸ τοῦ Θεοῦ χαρισθέντα ἡμῖν. ἃ καὶ λαλοῦμεν οὐκ ἐν διδακτοῖς ἀνθρωπίνης σοφίας λόγοις, ἀλλ᾿ ἐν διδακτοῖς Πνεύματος Ἁγίου, πνευματικοῖς πνευματικὰ συγκρίνοντες. ψυχικὸς δὲ ἄνθρωπος οὐ δέχεται τὰ τοῦ Πνεύματος τοῦ Θεοῦ· μωρία γὰρ αὐτῷ ἐστι, καὶ οὐ δύναται γνῶναι, ὅτι πνευματικῶς ἀνακρίνεται. ὁ δὲ πνευματικὸς ἀνακρίνει μὲν πάντα, αὐτὸς δὲ ὑπ᾿ οὐδενὸς ἀνακρίνεται. τίς γὰρ ἔγνω νοῦν Κυρίου, ὃς συμβιβάσει αὐτόν; ἡμεῖς δὲ νοῦν Χριστοῦ ἔχομεν. Καὶ ἐγώ, ἀδελφοί, οὐκ ἠδυνήθην ὑμῖν λαλῆσαι ὡς πνευματικοῖς, ἀλλ᾿ ὡς σαρκικοῖς, ὡς νηπίοις ἐν Χριστῷ. γάλα ὑμᾶς ἐπότισα καὶ οὐ βρῶμα. οὔπω γὰρ ἠδύνασθε. ἀλλ᾿ οὔτε ἔτι νῦν δύνασθε· ἔτι γὰρ σαρκικοί ἐστε. ὅπου γὰρ ἐν ὑμῖν ζῆλος καὶ ἔρις καὶ διχοστασίαι, οὐχὶ σαρκικοί ἐστε καὶ κατὰ ἄνθρωπον περιπατεῖτε; ὅταν γὰρ λέγῃ τις, ἐγὼ μέν εἰμι Παύλου, ἕτερος δὲ ἐγὼ Ἀπολλώ, οὐχὶ σαρκικοί ἐστε; Τίς οὖν ἐστι Παῦλος, τίς δὲ Ἀπολλὼς ἀλλ᾿ ἢ διάκονοι δι᾿ ὧν ἐπιστεύσατε, καὶ ἑκάστῳ ὡς ὁ Κύριος ἔδωκεν; ἐγὼ ἐφύτευσα, Ἀπολλὼς ἐπότισεν, ἀλλ᾿ ὁ Θεὸς ηὔξανεν· ὥστε οὔτε ὁ φυτεύων ἐστί τι οὔτε ὁ ποτίζων, ἀλλ᾿ ὁ αὐξάνων Θεός. ὁ φυτεύων δὲ καὶ ὁ ποτίζων ἕν εἰσιν· ἕκαστος δὲ τὸν ἴδιον μισθὸν λήψεται κατὰ τὸν ἴδιον κόπον.

Dijo el Señor esta parábola: «El Reino de los Cielos es semejante a un grano de mostaza que tomó un hombre y lo sembró en su campo. Es ciertamente más pequeña que cualquier semilla, pero, cuando crece, es mayor que las hortalizas, y se hace árbol, hasta el punto de que las aves del cielo vienen y anidan en sus ramas.» Les dijo otra parábola: «El Reino de los Cielos es semejante a la levadura que tomó una mujer y la mezcló con tres medidas de harina, hasta que fermentó todo.» Todo esto dijo Jesús en parábolas a la gente, y nada les hablaba si no era en parábolas, para que se cumpliese así lo dicho por el profeta: ‘Abriré con parábolas mi boca, anunciaré lo que estaba oculto desde la creación del mundo’.» Entonces despidió a la multitud y se fue a casa. The Lord said this parable, “The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed which a man took and sowed in his field; it is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is the greatest of shrubs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.” He told them another parable. “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven which a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, till it was all leavened.” All this Jesus said to the crowds in parables; indeed he said nothing to them without a parable. This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet: “I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter what has been hidden since the foundation of the world.” Then he left the crowds and went into the house. Ἄλλην παραβολὴν ἐλάλησεν αὐτοῖς· ὁμοία ἐστὶν ἡ βασιλεία τῶν οὐρανῶν ζύμῃ, ἣν λαβοῦσα γυνὴ ἐνέκρυψεν εἰς ἀλεύρου σάτα τρία, ἕως οὗ ἐζυμώθη ὅλον. Ταῦτα πάντα ἐλάλησεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἐν παραβολαῖς τοῖς ὄχλοις, καὶ χωρὶς παραβολῆς οὐδὲν ἐλάλει αὐτοῖς, ὅπως πληρωθῇ τὸ ῥηθὲν διὰ τοῦ προφήτου λέγοντος· ἀνοίξω ἐν παραβολαῖς τὸ στόμα μου, ἐρεύξομαι κεκρυμμένα ἀπὸ καταβολῆς κόσμου. Τότε ἀφεὶς τοὺς ὄχλους ἦλθεν εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν αὐτοῦ.
