Only-begotten Son and Logos of God, being immortal, You condescended for our salvation to take flesh from the holy Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary and, without change, became man. Christ, our God, You were crucified and conquered death by death. Being one of the Holy Trinity, glorified with the Father and the Holy Spirit: Save us.

Al oírlo, todos a una elevaron su voz a Dios y dijeron: «Señor, tú hiciste el cielo y la tierra, el mar y todo lo que hay en ellos; tú dijiste por el Espíritu Santo, por boca de nuestro padre David, tu siervo: “¿Por qué se agitan las naciones, y los pueblos maquinan vanos proyectos? Se han congregado los reyes de la tierra y los jefes se han aliado contra el Señor y contra su Ungido.” Porque verdaderamente en esta ciudad se han aliado Herodes y Poncio Pilato con los extranjeros y la gente de Israel contra tu santo siervo Jesús, a quien has ungido, para realizar lo que tu poder y tu voluntad habían predeterminado que sucediera. Y ahora, Señor, ten en cuenta sus amenazas y concede a tus siervos proclamar tu palabra con toda valentía. Extiende tu mano para realizar curaciones, signos y prodigios por el nombre de tu santo siervo Jesús.» Acabada su oración, retembló el lugar donde estaban reunidos: todos quedaron llenos del Espíritu Santo y proclamaban la palabra de Dios con valentía. In those days, when the apostles were released they went to their friends and reported what the chief priests and the elders had said to them. And when they heard it, they lifted their voices together to God and said, “Sovereign Lord, who didst make the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything in them, who by the mouth of our father David, thy servant, didst say by the Holy Spirit, ‘Why did the Gentiles rage, and the peoples imagine vain things? The kings of the earth set themselves in array, and the rulers were gathered together, against the Lord and against his Christ’ — for truly in this city there were gathered together against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, to do whatever your hand and your plan had predestined to take place. And now, Lord, look upon their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness, while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God with boldness. Dijo el Señor a los judíos que vinieron a Él: «En verdad, en verdad les digo que el que escucha mi palabra y cree en el que me ha enviado, tiene vida eterna y no incurre en juicio, pues ha pasado de la muerte a la vida. En verdad, en verdad les digo que llega la hora (ya estamos en ella) en que los muertos oirán la voz del Hijo de Dios, y los que la oigan vivirán. Porque, lo mismo que el Padre tiene vida en sí mismo, así también ha concedido al Hijo tener vida en sí mismo, y le ha dado poder para juzgar, porque es Hijo del hombre. No se extrañen de esto: llega la hora en que todos los que estén en los sepulcros oirán su voz; y los que hayan hecho el bien saldrán para una resurrección de vida, y los que hayan hecho el mal, para una resurrección de juicio. The Lord said to the Jews who came to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears my word and believes him who sent me, has eternal life; he does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. Truly, truly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself, and has given him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of man. Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice and come forth, those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment. I can do nothing on my own authority; as I hear, I judge; and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of the Father who sent me.” [RSV]

Digno es, en verdad, aclamarte a ti, Theotokos, la siempre bienaventurada e inmaculada, y Madre de nuestro Dios. A la más honorable que los querubines y más gloriosa, incomparablemente que los serafines; a ti, la que incorruptamente, diste a luz al Verbo de Dios, a la verdaderamente Theotokos, te exaltamos.
It is truly right to bless you, Theotokos, ever blessed, most pure, and Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, without corruption you gave birth to God the Logos. We magnify you, the true Theotokos.
