Así dice el Señor Sebaot: Voy a salvar a mi pueblo, a traerlo de oriente, del país donde se pone el sol; voy a traerlos para que moren en medio de Jerusalén. Ellos serán mi pueblo y yo seré su Dios con fidelidad y con justicia. Así dice el Señor Sebaot: Recobren el ánimo, ustedes que oyeron esos días las palabras pronunciadas por los profetas, desde el día en que se echaron los cimientos del templo del Señor Sebaot para reconstruirlo. Porque hasta esos días no había paga ni para los hombres ni para el ganado; no había paz para hacer una vida normal, a causa del enemigo, y yo había dado rienda suelta a los enfrentamientos entre los hombres. Pero ahora ya no seré para el Resto de este pueblo como en días pasados —oráculo del Señor Sebaot—. Porque hay simiente de paz: la vid dará su fruto, la tierra dará sus productos y los cielos darán su rocío; y yo daré en posesión al Resto de este pueblo todas estas cosas. Y del mismo modo que fueron malditos entre las naciones, casa de Judá y casa de Israel, así los salvaré yo, y serán benditos; ¡no tengan miedo, recobren el ánimo! Así dice el Señor Sebaot: Aunque decidí hacerles mal cuando me irritaron sus padres —dice el Señor Sebaot— y no me arrepentí de ello, en estos días he decidido favorecer a Jerusalén y a la casa de Judá: ¡no teman! Esto es lo que deben hacer: Decirse la verdad unos a otros; juzgar con equidad en sus tribunales; no maquinar el mal entre ustedes, y no aficionarse a jurar en falso, porque odio todas estas cosas —oráculo del Señor—. “Thus says the Lord Almighty: ‘Behold, I shall deliver My people from the land of the east and from the land of the west. I shall bring them in and settle them in the midst of Jerusalem. They shall be to Me a people and I will be to them a God in truth and in righteousness.’ Thus says the Lord Almighty: ‘Let your hands be strong, you who hear in these days these words from the mouth of the prophets, from the day that the house of the Lord Almighty was founded, and from the time the temple was built. For before those days, men’s wages will not be profitable and a price for livestock will not even exist, and because of affliction there will be no peace for those going out and those coming in, and I will send forth all men, each against his neighbor. But now I do not do to the remnant of this people as in the former days,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘Rather I will show forth peace, for the vine shall give its fruit, the earth her produce, the heaven its dew, and I will give all these things as an inheritance to the remnant of this people. And it shall come to pass that as you were a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you, and you will be for a blessing; be of good courage and strengthen your hands.’ For thus says the Lord Almighty: ‘As I purposed to afflict you when your fathers provoked Me to anger,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and I did not relent, so now in these days I have prepared and purposed to do good to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah; be of good courage. These are the things you shall do: speak the truth, each man to his neighbor, and judge with peaceful judgment in your gates, and let none of you plan evil in his heart against his neighbor, and do not love a false oath, for all these things I hate,’ says the Lord Almighty.” [SAAS]
Τάδε λέγει Κύριος Παντοκράτωρ· Ἰδού, ἐγὼ σῴζω τὸν λαόν μου ἀπὸ γῆς ἀνατολῶν, καὶ ἀπὸ γῆς δυσμῶν, καὶ εἰσάξω αὐτὸν εἰς τὴν γῆν αὐτοῦ, καὶ κατασκηνώσω ἐν μέσῳ Ἱερουσαλήμ, καὶ ἔσονταί μοι εἰς λαόν, καὶ ἐγὼ ἔσομαι αὐτοῖς εἰς Θεόν, ἐν ἀληθείᾳ, καὶ ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ. Τάδε λέγει Κύριος Παντοκράτωρ· Κατισχυέτωσαν αἱ χεῖρες ὑμῶν τῶν ἀκουόντων ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ταύταις τοὺς λόγους τούτους, ἐκ στόματος τῶν Προφητῶν, ἀφʼ ἧς ἡμέρας τεθεμελίωται ὁ οἶκος Κυρίου Παντοκράτορος, καὶ ὁ Ναός, ἀφʼ οὗ ᾠκοδόμηται. Διότι πρὸ τῶν ἡμερῶν ἐκείνων, ὁ μισθὸς τῶν ἀνθρώπων οὐκ ἔσται εἰς ὄνησιν, καὶ ὁ μισθὸς τῶν κτηνῶν οὐχ ὑπάρξει, καὶ τῷ ἐκπορευομένῳ, καὶ τῷ εἰσπορευομένῳ, οὐκ ἔσται εἰρήνη ἀπὸ τῆς θλίψεως, καὶ ἐξαποστελῶ πάντας τοὺς ἀνθρώπους, ἕκαστον ἐπὶ τὸν πλησίον αὐτοῦ. Καὶ νῦν, οὐ κατὰ τὰς ἡμέρας τὰς ἔμπροσθεν ἐγὼ ποιῶ τοῖς καταλοίποις τοῦ λαοῦ τούτου, λέγει Κύριος Παντοκράτωρ, ἀλλʼ ἢ δείξω εἰρήνην· ἡ ἄμπελος δώσει τὸν καρπὸν αὐτῆς, καὶ ἡ γῆ δώσει τὰ γεννήματα αὐτῆς, καὶ ὁ οὐρανὸς δώσει τὴν δρόσον αὐτοῦ, καὶ κατακληρονομήσω τοῖς καταλοίποις τοῦ λαοῦ μου ταῦτα πάντα. Καὶ ἔσται, ὃν τρόπον ἦτε ἐν κατάρᾳ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν ὁ οἶκος Ἰούδα, καὶ ὁ οἶκος Ἰσραήλ, οὕτω διασώσω ὑμᾶς, καὶ ἔσεσθε ἐν εὐλογίᾳ, θαρσεῖτε, καὶ κατισχύετε ἐν ταῖς χερσὶν ὑμῶν, διότι τάδε λέγει Κύριος Παντοκράτωρ. Ὃν τρόπον διενοήθην τοῦ κακῶσαι ὑμᾶς, ἐν τῷ παροργίσαι με τοὺς πατέρας ὑμῶν, λέγει Κύριος Παντοκράτωρ, καὶ οὐ μετενόησα, οὕτω παρατέταγμαι καὶ διανενόημαι, ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ταύταις, τοῦ καλῶς ποιῆσαι τῇ Ἱερουσαλήμ, καὶ τῷ οἴκῳ Ἰούδα, θαρσεῖτε. Οὗτοι οἱ λόγοι, οὓς ποιήσετε, λαλεῖτε ἀλήθειαν ἕκαστος πρὸς τὸν πλησίον αὐτοῦ, ἀλήθειαν καὶ κρῖμα εἰρηνικὸν κρίνετε ἐν ταῖς πύλαις ὑμῶν, καὶ ἕκαστος τὴν κακίαν τοῦ πλησίον αὐτοῦ μὴ λογίζεσθε ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις ὑμῶν, καὶ ὅρκον ψευδῆ μὴ ἀγαπᾶτε· διότι ταῦτα πάντα ἐμίσησα, λέγει Κύριος Παντοκράτωρ.

Así dice el Señor Sebaot: «El ayuno de los meses cuarto, quinto, séptimo y décimo será para la casa de Judá ocasión de regocijo, alegría y faustas solemnidades. Amen, pues, la verdad y la paz.» Así dice el Señor Sebaot: «Todavía vendrán pueblos y habitantes de grandes ciudades. Y los habitantes de una ciudad irán a la otra diciendo: ‘Vamos a aplacar al Señor y a visitar al Señor Sebaot: ¡yo también voy!’ Y vendrán pueblos numerosos y naciones poderosas a visitar al Señor Sebaot en Jerusalén, y a aplacar al Señor.» Así dice el Señor Sebaot: «Aquellos días, diez hombres de todas las lenguas de las naciones asirán por la orla del manto a un judío diciendo: ‘Queremos ir con ustedes, porque hemos oído decir que Dios está con ustedes.’» [BJ-SAOGM]
“Thus says the Lord Almighty: ‘The fourth-month fast, and the fifth-month fast, and the seventh-month fast, and the tenth-month fast shall be for joy and gladness and in good feasts to the house of Judah. And you will rejoice, and you will love truth and peace.’ Thus says the Lord Almighty: ‘Yet many people will have come and those inhabiting many cities; and the inhabitants of five cities will come together to one city, saying, “Let us go to beseech the Lord and to seek out the face of the Lord Almighty; and I will go also.” And many peoples and many nations will come to seek out the presence of the Lord Almighty in Jerusalem and to obtain the favor of the presence of the Lord.’ Thus says the Lord Almighty, ‘In those days, if ten men from all the tongues of the nations stop you, even if they grab hold of the hem of a Jewish man, they will be saying, “We will go with you, for we heard God is with you.”” [SAAS]
Τάδε λέγει Κύριος Παντοκράτωρ· Νηστεία ἡ τετάρτη, καὶ νηστεία ἡ πέμπτη, καὶ νηστεία ἡ ἑβδόμη, καὶ νηστεία ἡ δεκάτη, ἔσονται τῷ οἴκῳ Ἰούδα καὶ τῷ οἴκῳ Ἰσραήλ, εἰς χαρὰν καὶ εὐφροσύνην, καὶ εἰς ἑορτὰς ἀγαθάς, καὶ εὐφρανθήσεσθε, καὶ τὴν ἀλήθειαν, καὶ τὴν εἰρήνην ἀγαπήσατε. Τάδε λέγει Κύριος Παντοκράτωρ· Ἔτι ἥξουσι λαοὶ πολλοί, καὶ κατοικοῦντες πόλεις πολλάς, καὶ συνελεύσονται κατοικοῦντες πέντε πόλεις εἰς μίαν πόλιν, λέγοντες· Πορευθῶμεν δεηθῆναι τοῦ προσώπου Κυρίου, καὶ ἐκζητῆσαι τὸ πρόσωπον Κυρίου Παντοκράτορος ἐν Ἱερουσαλήμ. Καὶ ἥξουσι λαοὶ πολλοί, καὶ ἔθνη πολλά, ἐκζητῆσαι τὸ πρόσωπον Κυρίου Παντοκράτορος ἐν Ἱερουσαλήμ, καὶ ἐξιλάσασθαι τὸ πρόσωπον Κυρίου. Τάδε λέγει Κύριος Παντοκράτωρ· Ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις, ἐπιλήψονται δέκα ἄνδρες ἐκ πασῶν τῶν γλωσσῶν τῶν ἐθνῶν, καὶ ἐπιλήψονται τοῦ κρασπέδου ἀνδρὸς Ἰουδαίου, λέγοντες· Πορευσώμεθα μετὰ σοῦ, διότι ἀκηκόαμεν, ὅτι ὁ Θεὸς μεθʼ ὑμῶν ἐστιν.
