Nuestra Vida fue puesta en un sepulcro y un sello fue puesto en la piedra de la puerta. Los soldados hacían guardia ante Cristo como si hicieran guardia ante un Rey dormido. Los ángeles lo glorificaron como el Dios Inmortal, mientras las santas mujeres gritaban en voz alta: “¡El Señor ha resucitado, otorgando gran misericordia al mundo!” [KAD]

Life was placed in the sepulcher, and a seal was placed on the stone. The soldiers were guarding Christ like a sleeping king. The Angels glorified Him as their immortal God. And the women cried aloud, “The Lord has risen, and He has granted to the world the great mercy.” [GOASD]

Aquel Quien existe desde la Eternidad, por mí se hace Niño. El Dios Purísimo, para salvarme, participa con los impuros del cuerpo que Él había llevado de la Virgen; Y cuando le fueron revelados a Simeón estos misterios, lo conoció como el Dios Manifestado en la carne, y Lo abrazó siendo la Vida; Mas el Anciano exclamó con regocijo diciendo: “¡Despídeme, porque Te he visto, Oh Vida de todos!” [AM]

El Espíritu Santo le había revelado que no vería la muerte antes de haber visto al Cristo del Señor. Movido por el Espíritu, vino al Templo. Vengan, fieles todos, y adoremos la Santa Resurrección de Cristo: miren que por la Cruz vino la alegría al mundo entero. ¿Qué podemos ofrecer al Señor por todo el bien que ha hecho por nosotros? Para salvarnos, Dios habitó entre los hombres. What shall we give back to the Lord for all He rendered to us? For us, God lived among men. For human nature that was damaged, the Logos became flesh and dwelt among us. To the ungrateful He is the Benefactor; to the captives, the Liberator; to those who sat in darkness, the Sun of Righteousness. He who is dispassionate suffered on the cross; He who is the Light shone in Hades; He who is the Life trampled death. For the fallen He is the resurrection. Let us cry aloud to Him, “Glory to You our God!” [GOASD]
