Verso 1: Bueno es alabar al Señor, y cantar salmos a tu nombre, oh Altísimo. [BASJ]

Verse 1: It is good to give thanks to the Lord and to sing to Your name, O Most High. [SAAS]

Only-begotten Son and Logos of God, being immortal, You condescended for our salvation to take flesh from the holy Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary and, without change, became man. Christ, our God, You were crucified and conquered death by death. Being one of the Holy Trinity, glorified with the Father and the Holy Spirit: Save us.

Que cada cual dé según el dictamen de su corazón, no de mala gana ni forzado, pues: Dios ama al que da con alegría. Y poderoso es Dios para colmarlos de todo bien, a fin de que, teniendo siempre y en todo lo necesario, tengan aún sobrante para hacer buenas obras, como está escrito: Repartió; dio a los pobres; su justicia permanece eternamente. Aquel que provee de simiente al sembrador y de pan para su alimento, proveerá y multiplicará su sementera y aumentará los frutos de su justicia. Brethren, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Dijo el Señor: «Mi Padre me ha entregado todo, y nadie conoce quién es el Hijo, sino el Padre; ni quién es el Padre, sino el Hijo y aquel a quien el Hijo se lo quiera revelar.» Volviéndose a los discípulos, les dijo aparte: «¡Dichosos los ojos que ven lo que ustedes ven! Porque les digo que muchos profetas y reyes quisieron ver lo que ustedes ven, pero no lo vieron; y oír lo que ustedes oyen, pero no lo oyeron.» [BJ-SAOGM]
