Hermanos, velen y manténganse firmes en la fe; tengan valor y sean fuertes. Háganlo todo con amor. Les hago una recomendación, hermanos. Saben que los familiares de Estéfanas son los primeros conversos de Acaya y que se entregaron al servicio de los santos. Muéstrense ustedes también deferentes con ellos y con quienes con ellos trabajan y se afanan. Me llena de alegría la visita de Estéfanas, de Fortunato y de Acaico, que han suplido su ausencia. Ellos han tranquilizado mi espíritu y el de ustedes. Sepan apreciar a tales personas. Las iglesias de Asia los saludan. Les envían muchos saludos en el Señor Áquila y Prisca, junto con la iglesia que se reúne en su casa. Los saludan todos los hermanos. Salúdense los unos a los otros con el beso santo. El saludo va de mi mano, Pablo. El que no ame al Señor, ¡sea maldito! «Maran atha.» ¡La gracia del Señor Jesús sea con ustedes! Los amo a todos en Cristo Jesús. Amén. [BJ-SAOGM]

Brethren, be watchful, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love. Now, brethren, you know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints; I urge you to be subject to such men and to every fellow worker and laborer. I rejoice at the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they have made up for your absence; for they refreshed my spirit as well as yours. Give recognition to such men. The churches of Asia send greetings. Aquila and Prisca, together with the church in their house, send you hearty greetings in the Lord. All the brethren send greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss. I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. If any one has no love for the Lord, let him be anathema. Maranatha! The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you. My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen. [RSV]

Ἀδελφοί, γρηγορεῖτε, στήκετε ἐν τῇ πίστει, ἀνδρίζεσθε, κραταιοῦσθε. πάντα ὑμῶν ἐν ἀγάπῃ γινέσθω. Παρακαλῶ δὲ ὑμᾶς, ἀδελφοί· οἴδατε τὴν οἰκίαν Στεφανᾶ, ὅτι ἐστὶν ἀπαρχὴ τῆς Ἀχαΐας καὶ εἰς διακονίαν τοῖς ἁγίοις ἔταξαν ἑαυτούς· ἵνα καὶ ὑμεῖς ὑποτάσσησθε τοῖς τοιούτοις καὶ παντὶ τῷ συνεργοῦντι καὶ κοπιῶντι. χαίρω δὲ ἐπὶ τῇ παρουσίᾳ Στεφανᾶ καὶ Φουρτουνάτου καὶ Ἀχαϊκοῦ, ὅτι τὸ ὑμῶν ὑστέρημα οὗτοι ἀνεπλήρωσαν· ἀνέπαυσαν γὰρ τὸ ἐμὸν πνεῦμα καὶ τὸ ὑμῶν. Ἐπιγινώσκετε οὖν τοὺς τοιούτους. Ἀσπάζονται ὑμᾶς αἱ ἐκκλησίαι τῆς Ἀσίας. ἀσπάζονται ὑμᾶς ἐν Κυρίῳ πολλὰ Ἀκύλας καὶ Πρίσκιλλα σὺν τῇ κατ᾿ οἶκον αὐτῶν ἐκκλησίᾳ. ἀσπάζονται ὑμᾶς οἱ ἀδελφοὶ πάντες. ἀσπάσασθε ἀλλήλους ἐν φιλήματι ἁγίῳ. Ὁ ἀσπασμὸς τῇ ἐμῇ χειρὶ Παύλου. εἴ τις οὐ φιλεῖ τὸν Κύριον Ἰησοῦν Χριστόν, ἤτω ἀνάθεμα. μαρὰν ἀθᾶ. Ἡ χάρις τοῦ Κυρίου Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ μεθ᾿ ὑμῶν. ἡ ἀγάπη μου μετὰ πάντων ὑμῶν ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ· ἀμήν.

Dijo el Señor: «Velen, porque no saben qué día vendrá su Señor. Entiéndanlo bien: si el dueño de casa supiese a qué hora de la noche iba a venir el ladrón, estaría en vela y no permitiría que le abriesen un boquete en su casa. Por eso, también ustedes estén preparados, porque, cuando menos lo piensen, vendrá el Hijo del hombre. ¿Quién es, pues, el siervo fiel y prudente, a quien el señor puso al frente de su servidumbre para darles la comida a su tiempo? Dichoso aquel siervo a quien su señor, al llegar, encuentre haciéndolo así. Les aseguro que lo pondrá al frente de toda su hacienda.» [BJ-SAOGM]

The Lord said, “Watch, for you do not know at what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the householder had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have watched and would not have let his house be broken into. Therefore you also must be ready; for the Son of man is coming at an hour you do not expect. Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom his master when he comes will find so doing. Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions.” [RSV]

Εἶπεν ὁ Κύριος· Γρηγορεῖτε, ὅτι οὐκ οἴδατε ποίᾳ ὥρᾳ ὁ Κύριος ὑμῶν ἔρχεται. Ἐκεῖνο δὲ γινώσκετε ὅτι εἰ ᾔδει ὁ οἰκοδεσπότης ποίᾳ φυλακῇ ὁ κλέπτης ἔρχεται, ἐγρηγόρησεν ἂν καὶ οὐκ ἂν εἴασε διορυγῆναι τὴν οἰκίαν αὐτοῦ. διὰ τοῦτο καὶ ὑμεῖς γίνεσθε ἕτοιμοι, ὅτι ᾗ ὥρᾳ οὐ δοκεῖτε ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἔρχεται. Τίς ἄρα ἐστὶν ὁ πιστὸς δοῦλος καὶ φρόνιμος, ὃν κατέστησεν ὁ κύριος αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τῆς θεραπείας αὐτοῦ τοῦ διδόναι αὐτοῖς τὴν τροφὴν ἐν καιρῷ; μακάριος ὁ δοῦλος ἐκεῖνος ὃν ἐλθὼν ὁ κύριος αὐτοῦ εὑρήσει ποιοῦντα οὕτως. ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι ἐπὶ πᾶσι τοῖς ὑπάρχουσιν αὐτοῦ καταστήσει αὐτόν.
