Dijo el Señor a sus discípulos: «Antes de todo esto, les echarán mano y les perseguirán, les entregarán a las sinagogas y cárceles y les llevarán ante reyes y gobernadores por mi nombre; esto les sucederá para que den testimonio. Propongan, pues, en su corazón no preparar la defensa, porque yo les daré una elocuencia y una sabiduría a la que no podrán resistir ni contradecir todos sus adversarios. Serán entregados por padres, hermanos, parientes y amigos, y matarán a algunos de ustedes. Todos los odiarán por causa de mi nombre. Pero no perecerá ni un cabello de su cabeza. Digno es, en verdad, aclamarte a ti, Teotocos, la siempre bienaventurada e inmaculada, y Madre de nuestro Dios. A la más honorable que los querubines y más gloriosa, incomparablemente que los serafines; a ti, la que incorruptamente, diste a luz al Verbo de Dios, a la verdaderamente Teotocos, te exaltamos.

It is truly right to bless you, Theotokos, ever blessed, most pure, and Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, without corruption you gave birth to God the Logos. We magnify you, the true Theotokos.
