Only-begotten Son and Logos of God, being immortal, You condescended for our salvation to take flesh from the holy Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary and, without change, became man. Christ, our God, You were crucified and conquered death by death. Being one of the Holy Trinity, glorified with the Father and the Holy Spirit: Save us.

You have made the earthly beauty of the holy tabernacle of Your glory to be like the majesty of the firmament on high, O Lord. Make it strong forever and ever, and accept our supplications that we unceasingly bring to You there, at the intercession of the Theotokos. For You are the life and resurrection of all. [SD]

Hermanos santos, partícipes de una vocación celestial, consideren al apóstol y sumo sacerdote de nuestra confesión, a Jesús, que es fiel al que le instituyó, como lo fue también Moisés en toda su casa. Pues ha sido juzgado digno de una gloria superior a la de Moisés, del mismo modo que la dignidad del constructor de la casa supera a la casa misma. Holy brethren, who share in a heavenly call, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession. He was faithful to him who appointed him, just as Moses also was faithful in all his house. Yet Jesus has been counted worthy of as much more glory than Moses as the builder of a house has more honor than the house. (For every house is built by some one but the builder of all things is God. [RSV]

En aquel tiempo, tras llegar Jesús a la región de Cesarea de Filipo, hizo esta pregunta a sus discípulos: «¿Quién dicen los hombres que es el Hijo del hombre?» Ellos respondieron: «Unos, que Juan el Bautista; otros, que Elías; otros, que Jeremías o uno de los profetas.» Él les preguntó: «Pero ustedes ¿quién dicen que soy yo?» Simón Pedro contestó: «Tú eres el Cristo, el Hijo de Dios vivo.» A esto replicó Jesús: «Bienaventurado eres Simón, hijo de Jonás, porque no te ha revelado esto la carne ni la sangre, sino mi Padre que está en los cielos. Y yo a mi vez te digo que tú eres Pedro y que sobre esta piedra edificaré mi Iglesia, y las puertas del Hades no prevalecerán contra ella. A ti te daré las llaves del Reino de los Cielos: lo que ates en la tierra quedará atado en los cielos, y lo que desates en la tierra quedará desatado en los cielos.» [BJ-SAOGM]
At that time, when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do men say that the Son of man is?” And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah! A la más honorable que los querubines y más gloriosa, incomparablemente que los serafines; a ti, la que incorruptamente, diste a luz al Verbo de Dios, a la verdaderamente Teotocos, te exaltamos.
It is truly right to bless you, Theotokos, ever blessed, most pure, and Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, without corruption you gave birth to God the Logos. We magnify you, the true Theotokos.
