Hermanos, Cristo murió por todos, para que los que viven ya no vivan para sí, sino para aquel que murió y resucitó por ellos. Así que, en adelante, ya no enjuiciamos a nadie según criterios humanos; y si enjuiciamos a Cristo según tales criterios, ahora ya no lo enjuiciamos así. Lo digo porque el que está en Cristo es una nueva creación; pasó lo viejo, todo es nuevo. Y todo proviene de Dios, que nos reconcilió consigo por Cristo y nos confió el ministerio de la reconciliación. En efecto, Dios estaba reconciliando al mundo consigo por medio de Cristo, no tomando en cuenta las transgresiones de los hombres, al tiempo que nos confiaba la palabra de la reconciliación. Somos, pues, embajadores de Cristo, como si Dios exhortara por medio de nosotros. En nombre de Cristo les suplicamos: ¡reconcíliense con Dios! A Cristo, que no conoció pecado, lo hizo pecado por nosotros, para que viniésemos a ser justicia de Dios en él. [BJ-SAOGM]
Brethren, Christ died for all, that those who live might live no longer for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised. From now on, therefore, we regard no one from a human point of view; even though we once regarded Christ from a human point of view, we regard him thus no longer. Therefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Jesus Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. So we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We beseech you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. [RSV]
Ἀδελφοί, Χριστὸς ὑπὲρ πάντων ἀπέθανεν, ἵνα οἱ ζῶντες μηκέτι ἑαυτοῖς ζῶσιν, ἀλλὰ τῷ ὑπὲρ αὐτῶν ἀποθανόντι καὶ ἐγερθέντι. Ὥστε ἡμεῖς ἀπὸ τοῦ νῦν οὐδένα οἴδαμεν κατὰ σάρκα· εἰ δὲ καὶ ἐγνώκαμεν κατὰ σάρκα Χριστόν, ἀλλὰ νῦν οὐκέτι γινώσκομεν. ὥστε εἴ τις ἐν Χριστῷ καινὴ κτίσις· τὰ ἀρχαῖα παρῆλθεν, ἰδοὺ γέγονε καινὰ τὰ πάντα. τὰ δὲ πάντα ἐκ τοῦ Θεοῦ τοῦ καταλλάξαντος ἡμᾶς ἑαυτῷ διὰ Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ καὶ δόντος ἡμῖν τὴν διακονίαν τῆς καταλλαγῆς, ὡς ὅτι Θεὸς ἦν ἐν Χριστῷ κόσμον καταλλάσσων ἑαυτῷ, μὴ λογιζόμενος αὐτοῖς τὰ παραπτώματα αὐτῶν, καὶ θέμενος ἐν ἡμῖν τὸν λόγον τῆς καταλλαγῆς. Ὑπὲρ Χριστοῦ οὖν πρεσβεύομεν ὡς τοῦ Θεοῦ παρακαλοῦντος δι᾿ ἡμῶν· δεόμεθα ὑπὲρ Χριστοῦ, καταλλάγητε τῷ Θεῷ· τὸν γὰρ μὴ γνόντα ἁμαρτίαν ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν ἁμαρτίαν ἐποίησεν, ἵνα ἡμεῖς γενώμεθα δικαιοσύνη Θεοῦ ἐν αὐτῷ.

Dijo el Señor a sus discípulos: «Tanto amó Dios al mundo que entregó a su Hijo unigénito, para que todo el que crea en él no perezca, sino que tenga vida eterna. Porque Dios no ha enviado a su Hijo al mundo para juzgar al mundo, sino para que el mundo se salve por él. El que cree en él no es juzgado; pero el que no cree ya está juzgado, porque no ha creído en el nombre del Hijo unigénito de Dios. Y el juicio consiste en que la luz vino al mundo, pero los hombres amaron más las tinieblas que la luz, porque sus obras eran malas. Pues todo el que obra el mal odia la luz y no se acerca a ella, para que nadie censure sus obras. Pero el que obra la verdad, se acerca a la luz, para que quede de manifiesto que actúa como Dios quiere.» [BJ-SAOGM]
The Lord said to his disciples, “God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. He who believes in him is not condemned; he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does what is true comes to the light, that it may be clearly seen that these deeds have been wrought in God.” [RSV]
