Only-begotten Son and Logos of God, being immortal, You condescended for our salvation to take flesh from the holy Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary and, without change, became man. Porque Joaquín se regocija y Ana celebra exclamando: “la estéril da a luz a la Teotocos, quien alimenta nuestra vida.” [unES]

Hermanos, entre los perfectos hablamos de sabiduría, pero no de la sabiduría de este mundo ni de los jefes de este mundo, abocados a la ruina, sino de una sabiduría de Dios, misteriosa, escondida, destinada por Dios desde antes de los siglos para gloria nuestra, desconocida de todos los jefes de este mundo —pues, de haberla conocido, no habrían crucificado al Señor de la Gloria—. Brethren, among the mature we impart wisdom, although it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away. But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glorification. None of the rulers of this age understood this; for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. Dijo el Señor: «El que ama a su padre o a su madre más que a mí, no es digno de mí; el que ama a su hijo o a su hija más que a mí, no es digno de mí. El que no tome su cruz y me siga, no es digno de mí. El que encuentre su vida, la perderá; y el que pierda su vida por mí, la encontrará. Quien a ustedes acoge, a mí me acoge, y quien me acoge a mí, acoge a Aquel que me ha enviado. Quien acoja a un profeta por ser profeta, recibirá recompensa de profeta, y quien acoja a un justo por ser justo, recibirá recompensa de justo. Y todo aquel que dé de beber tan sólo un vaso de agua fresca a uno de estos pequeños, por ser discípulo, les aseguro que no perderá su recompensa.» Cuando acabó Jesús de dar instrucciones a sus doce discípulos, partió de allí para enseñar y predicar en sus ciudades. Digno es, en verdad, aclamarte a ti, Teotocos, la siempre bienaventurada e inmaculada, y Madre de nuestro Dios. A la más honorable que los querubines y más gloriosa, incomparablemente que los serafines; a ti, la que incorruptamente, diste a luz al Verbo de Dios, a la verdaderamente Teotocos, te exaltamos.

It is truly right to bless you, Theotokos, ever blessed, most pure, and Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, without corruption you gave birth to God the Logos. We magnify you, the true Theotokos.
