Hermanos, tengan entre ustedes los mismos sentimientos que Cristo: El cual, siendo de condición divina, no reivindicó su derecho a ser tratado igual a Dios, sino que se despojó de sí mismo tomando condición de esclavo. Asumiendo semejanza humana y apareciendo en su porte como hombre, se rebajó a sí mismo, haciéndose obediente hasta la muerte, y una muerte de cruz. Por eso Dios lo exaltó y le otorgó el Nombre, que está sobre todo nombre. Para que al nombre de Jesús toda rodilla se doble en los cielos, en la tierra y en los abismos, y toda lengua confiese que Cristo Jesús es el SEÑOR para gloria de Dios Padre. [BJ-SAOGM]
Brethren, have this mind among yourselves, which you have in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. En aquel tiempo, Jesús entró en un pueblo, donde una mujer, llamada Marta, lo recibió en su casa. Tenía ésta una hermana llamada María, que, sentada a los pies del Señor, escuchaba su palabra, mientras Marta estaba atareada en muchos quehaceres. Al fin, se paró y dijo: «Señor, ¿no te importa que mi hermana me deje sola en el trabajo? Dile, pues, que me ayude.» Le respondió el Señor: «Marta, Marta, te preocupas y te agitas por muchas cosas; y hay necesidad de pocas, o mejor, de una sola. María ha elegido la mejor parte, que no le será quitada.» Estaba él hablando así, cuando una mujer de entre la gente dijo en voz alta: «¡Dichoso el seno que te llevó y los pechos que te criaron!» Pero él dijo: «Dichosos más bien los que oyen la palabra de Dios y la guardan.» [BJ-SAOGM]
At that time, Jesus entered a village; and a woman called Martha received him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to his teaching. But Martha was distracted with much serving; and she went to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve you alone? Tell her then to help me.” But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things; one thing is needful. Mary has chosen the good portion, which shall not be taken away from her.” As he said this, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts that nursed you!” But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” [RSV]

On August 15 we commemorate the august Translation [i.e. Assumption] of our most glorious Lady Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary.
Por sus santas intercesiones, ten misericordia de nosotros y sálvanos, oh Dios, pues eres bueno y filántropo. Amén.
By her holy intercessions, have mercy and save us, O God, since You are good and benevolent. Amen.
