Only-begotten Son and Logos of God, being immortal, You condescended for our salvation to take flesh from the holy Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary and, without change, became man. Hermanos, les exhorto, por la misericordia de Dios, a que se ofrezcan a ustedes mismos como un sacrificio vivo, santo y agradable a Dios. Tal debería ser su culto espiritual. Y no se acomoden a la forma de pensar del mundo presente; antes bien, transfórmense mediante la renovación de su mente, de forma que puedan distinguir cuál es la voluntad de Dios: lo bueno, lo agradable, lo perfecto. En virtud de la misión que me ha sido confiada, debo decirles que no se valoren más de lo que conviene; tengan más bien una sobria autoestima según la medida de la fe que Dios ha otorgado a cada cual. Brethren, I appeal to you, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Dijo el Señor: «El que ama a su padre o a su madre más que a mí, no es digno de mí; el que ama a su hijo o a su hija más que a mí, no es digno de mí. El que no tome su cruz y me siga, no es digno de mí. El que encuentre su vida, la perderá; y el que pierda su vida por mí, la encontrará. Quien a ustedes acoge, a mí me acoge, y quien me acoge a mí, acoge a Aquel que me ha enviado. Quien acoja a un profeta por ser profeta, recibirá recompensa de profeta, y quien acoja a un justo por ser justo, recibirá recompensa de justo. Y todo aquel que dé de beber tan sólo un vaso de agua fresca a uno de estos pequeños, por ser discípulo, les aseguro que no perderá su recompensa.» Cuando acabó Jesús de dar instrucciones a sus doce discípulos, partió de allí para enseñar y predicar en sus ciudades. He who receives a prophet because he is a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward, and he who receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. Digno es, en verdad, aclamarte a ti, Teotocos, la siempre bienaventurada e inmaculada, y Madre de nuestro Dios. A la más honorable que los querubines y más gloriosa, incomparablemente que los serafines; a ti, la que incorruptamente, diste a luz al Verbo de Dios, a la verdaderamente Teotocos, te exaltamos.

It is truly right to bless you, Theotokos, ever blessed, most pure, and Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, without corruption you gave birth to God the Logos. We magnify you, the true Theotokos.
