Only-begotten Son and Logos of God, being immortal, You condescended for our salvation to take flesh from the holy Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary and, without change, became man. Por aquellos días, los apóstoles se volvieron a Jerusalén desde el monte llamado de los Olivos, que dista de Jerusalén el equivalente a un paseo permitido en sábado. Cuando llegaron, subieron a la estancia superior, donde vivían. Eran Pedro y Juan, Santiago y Andrés, Felipe y Tomás, Bartolomé y Mateo, Santiago el de Alfeo, Simón el Zelota y Judas de Santiago. Todos ellos perseveraban en la oración, con un mismo espíritu, en compañía de algunas mujeres, de María la madre de Jesús y de sus hermanos. Uno de aquellos días Pedro, puesto en pie ante los hermanos —ya que el número de personas congregadas con el mismo propósito era de unas ciento veinte—, les dijo: «Hermanos, era preciso que se cumpliera la Escritura, en la que el Espíritu Santo, por boca de David, había hablado ya acerca de Judas, que fue guía de los que prendieron a Jesús. Él era uno de los nuestros y había obtenido un puesto en este ministerio. Por tanto, es preciso que uno de los hombres que nos acompañaron todo el tiempo que el Señor Jesús convivió con nosotros, desde el bautismo de Juan hasta el día en que fue llevado de entre nosotros al cielo, sea con nosotros testigo de su resurrección.» Presentaron a dos: a José, llamado Barsabás, por sobrenombre Justo, y a Matías. In those days, the apostles returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a sabbath day’s journey away; and when they had entered, they went up to the upper room, where they were staying, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot and Judas the son of James. All these with one accord devoted themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers. In those days Peter stood up among the brethren (the company of persons was in all about a hundred and twenty), and said, “Brethren, the scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke beforehand by the mouth of David, concerning Judas who was guide to those who arrested Jesus. For he was numbered among us, and was allotted his share in this ministry. So one of the men who have accompanied us during all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, beginning from the baptism of John until the day when he was taken up from us-one of these men must become with us a witness to his resurrection.” And they put forward two, Joseph called Barsabbas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias. En aquel tiempo: Jesús vino junto al mar de Galilea; subió al monte y se sentó allí. Entonces se le acercó mucha gente trayendo consigo cojos, lisiados, ciegos, mudos y otros muchos; los pusieron a sus pies, y él los curó. De suerte que la gente quedó maravillada al ver que los mudos hablaban, los lisiados quedaban curados, los cojos caminaban y los ciegos veían. Y alabaron al Dios de Israel. [BJ-SAOGM]

At that time, Jesus passed along the Sea of Galilee. And he went up on the mountain, and sat down there. And great crowds came to him, bringing with them the lame, the maimed, the blind, the dumb, and many others, and they put them at Jesus'' feet, and he healed them, so that the throng wondered, when they saw the dumb speaking, the maimed whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel. [RSV]

Τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ ἦλθεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς παρὰ τὴν θάλασσαν τῆς Γαλιλαίας, καὶ ἀναβὰς εἰς τὸ ὄρος ἐκάθητο ἐκεῖ. καὶ προσῆλθον αὐτῷ ὄχλοι πολλοὶ ἔχοντες μεθ᾿ ἑαυτῶν χωλούς, τυφλούς, κωφούς, κυλλοὺς καὶ ἑτέρους πολλούς, καὶ ἔρριψαν αὐτοὺς παρὰ τοὺς πόδας τοῦ Ἰησοῦ, καὶ ἐθεράπευσεν αὐτούς, ὥστε τοὺς ὄχλους θαυμάσαι βλέποντας κωφοὺς ἀκούοντας, ἀλάλους λαλοῦντας, κυλλοὺς ὑγιεῖς, χωλοὺς περιπατοῦντας καὶ τυφλοὺς βλέποντας· καὶ ἐδόξασαν τὸν Θεὸν Ἰσραήλ.

Digno es, en verdad, aclamarte a ti, Teotocos, la siempre bienaventurada e inmaculada, y Madre de nuestro Dios. A la más honorable que los querubines y más gloriosa, incomparablemente que los serafines; a ti, la que incorruptamente, diste a luz al Verbo de Dios, a la verdaderamente Teotocos, te exaltamos.

It is truly right to bless you, Theotokos, ever blessed, most pure, and Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, without corruption you gave birth to God the Logos. We magnify you, the true Theotokos.

We have seen the true light; we have received the heavenly Spirit; we have found the true faith, worshiping the undivided Trinity, for the Trinity has saved us.

El que se transfiguró con gloria en el monte Tabor ante sus santos discípulos y apóstoles, Cristo, verdadero Dios nuestro, por las intercesiones de su purísima e inmaculada Madre, por el poder de la vivificante y preciosa Cruz, la protección de las celestiales potestades incorpóreas, las súplicas del venerable y glorioso profeta, precursor y bautista Juan, de los santos, gloriosos y alabadísimos apóstoles, de los santos, gloriosos y victoriosos mártires, de nuestros justos y teóforos padres, (santo patrono del templo local); de los santos y justos familiares del Señor, Joaquín y Ana, y de todos los santos, tenga misericordia de nosotros y sálvanos, pues eres un Dios bondadoso y filántropo.
