Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your great mercy; and according to the abundance of Your compassion, blot out my transgression. I believe in one God, Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. Oh Virgen Pura, Inmaculada, sin mancha y sin pecado, Santa Esposa de nuestro Dios, que has unido sobre esta tierra por Tu dar a luz maravilloso a los humanos con el Verbo de Dios, para unir con los cielos desde su exilio lejano a la naturaleza de los mortales; esperanza de los sin esperanza, único muro de los sitiados, abrigo firme para los que Te buscan y refugio de los Cristianos; no alejes de Ti al pecador que soy yo, rodeado por pensamientos, palabras y acciones que ofenden la virtud y atado como un esclavo por la pereza del espíritu a los placeres de esta vida. Tú la Madre que concebiste al divino Filántropo, abre grandemente Tu corazón amoroso al pródigo que soy, acepta la humilde oración de mis labios pecadores; y Tú misma, suplica a Tu Hijo nuestro Maestro y Señor, utilizando todo el peso del amor maternal, que Él me abra a mí también los tesoros de Su ternura y Su corazón amoroso, y sin ver la inmensidad insondable de mis pecados me regrese en penitencia hasta hacer de mí un fiel observador de los Mandamientos divinos. And grant to us, Master, as we depart for sleep, rest of body and soul, and preserve us from the gloomy slumber of sin, and from every dark and nocturnal pleasure. Arrest the drives of passion; extinguish the burning arrows of the Evil One which insidiously fly in our direction; suppress the rebellions of our flesh, and calm our every earthly and material thought. And grant to us, O God, alert mind, prudent thinking, sober heart, light sleep free of any satanic fantasy. Oh santo Ángel que acompañas mi pobre alma y humilde vida, no me abandones a mi, pecador, ni te alejes por causa de mi derroche. No permitas que el maligno Satanás domine con su poder este cuerpo mortal; mas sostén mi negligente y miserable mano y guíame por el sendero de la salvación. Sí, oh santo Ángel de Dios, guardián y protector de este miserable alma y cuerpo, perdóname todo lo que te he provocado tristeza durante los días de mi vida. Y si he pecado el día de hoy, protégeme durante esta noche y guárdame de todos los engaños del enemigo, para que no ofenda a Dios con ningún pecado, e intercede al Señor por mí, para que me confirme en su temor, y me muestre como un siervo digno de su bondad.
Holy Angel, attendant on my wretched soul and my afflicted life, do not abandon me, a sinner, nor depart from me because of my lack of self-control. Give no place to the wicked demon to dominate me by taking over this mortal body of mine. Hold my wretched and feeble hand, and lead me on the way of salvation. Yes, holy Angel of God, guardian and protector of my wretched soul and body, forgive me everything that I have done to trouble you all the days of my life, and if I have sinned in anything today.
